New traffic control and pedestrian infrastructure coming to Hollybush Dr

Stating in August, the City of Hamilton will begin construction of new traffic control and pedestrian infrastructure on Hollybush Dr between Dundas St and Parkside Dr.

Specifically, the City will install on- and off-street bicycle facilities, upgrades to the pedestrian crossover (including a raised crosswalk at the trail crossing north of Kildonan Crescent/Pentland Road), update pavement markings, and provide numerous AODA enhancements, such as tactile walking surfaces indicators.

Construction is scheduled to commence in August of 2025. Modifications to traffic signal infrastructure, operation, layout and pavement markings have been incorporated into the works. Residents may experience some inconveniences such as noise and dust, as well as  temporary roadway disruption and restricted traffic movements during installation. Every effort will be made to complete the work in a timely manner and to keep any inconveniences to a minimum.

For the duration of the project, the City of Hamilton on-site inspector will be made available to explain the sequence of work and answer any construction-related questions.
